Kaniewski was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Valmont in 2018. Before this appointment, he was President and Chief Operating Officer, after serving as Group President of the Utility Support Structures (Utility) business segment and Vice President of Global Operations for the Irrigation business segment. Steve joined Valmont in 2010, leading the corporate IT group. Steve has gained varied experiences in international manufacturing, marketing and IT. Part of his career is focused on running operations and half is in the IT space, working with industrial goods manufacturers. During his time at Belden, he served as Vice President of Global IT applications. Prior to that position, he was Vice President of Operations for Belden’s specialty division and country director for Mexico. Before Belden’s merger with CDT (Cable Design Technologies) in 2005, Steve worked as Vice President of Operations for its specialty division in Mexico and the U.S. Prior to CDT, he worked as a technology consultant for companies implementing ERP systems and as manager of fulfillment operations for National Media, a direct marketing company. Steve currently serves as a member of the board of directors and the executive board committee for the United Way of the Midlands and as chairman emeritus of the board for the AIM Institute, where he has served since 2011. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University in 1994.

His focus is on executing a global approach for Valmont, leveraging the company’s footprint, talent and technology. Aaron joined Valmont in 2011 as the Vice President and General Manager, International Irrigation. In 2015, he added the responsibilities of global engineering oversight before being named President of Utility in 2016. Aaron started his engineering career in the composites industry in 1999, moving to China in 2002, where he created and led the engineering department at Orbit Irrigation, based in Shanghai. His roles quickly grew to encompass quality, operations, marketing and Asia sales. When Aaron was promoted to General Manager in 2007, his duties expanded to include acquisitions and the establishment of the company’s green-field manufacturing sites in Ningbo, China, and Taipei, Taiwan. Aaron served in that capacity until joining Valmont. Aaron has earned numerous degrees, including a BA in Mandarin Chinese and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Lennie began his career at Valmont in 1978 upon graduating from college. For nearly two decades, he served in numerous accounting and controller positions in both the poles division and tubing division. In 1995, he became Vice President of Operations in the poles division. Not long after, he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Products division, then President of the Coatings and tubing division. Lennie became President of the North American Irrigation and tubing divisions in 2005. He service in that role until 2009, when he was promoted to Group President for Global Irrigation. Lennie received his BS in accounting from Wane State College in Nebraska in 1978. He earned his CPA designation in 1991, then earned his executive MBA from Stanford University in 1996. He’s served on the Fremont Area United Way Board, including a term as president. He currently serves on the board of directors for the College World Series of Omaha, Inc.

Before joining Valmont, Chris spent two decades in the irrigation industry. He began his career at L.R. Nelson Corporation, then moved to Robert Bosch Tool Corporations. For many years, he led sales, marketing, engineering and operations at Robert Bosch Tool, where he and his teams developed, manufactured and delivered innovative products around the world. He also gained experience in joint ventures and M&A during this time. Originally the Director of Business Development who was charged with growing the Valley galvanizing facility, Rick’s leadership helped change that facility from a single location cost center into a profitable business segment. Rick’s experience in the corrosion protection industry began in 1988, when he was hired as Operations Manager of Kinark Corporation’s galvanizing facility in Denver, which was the largest custom galvanizing operation in North America at the time. He advanced through the organization until he was promoted to Vice President of Galvanizing Operations, where he remained before joining Valmont in 1996. Rick currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Galvanizing Association, starting in 1998 and including a term as President. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chairman of the Manufacturers Council. Rick earned a BS in business from the University of Kansas, where he was also in the Naval ROTC program. Upon graduation, he was commissioned an Ensign and attended the U.S. Navy’s Surface Warfare School in Newport Rhode Island. He was in the Naval Reserve through 2000, achieving the rank of Captain and serving his final assignment at the Pentagon Navy Command Center. He earned his MBA from the University of Tulsa in 1987.

He served as General Manager of Site Pro 1 and led its growth until being promoted to Vice President of Communications Systems in 2019. He moved into his current role in 2020. The portfolio of products offered from the telecommunications division includes an expansive line of small cell products, self-supporting and guyed towers, monopoles, concealment solutions and wireless site components. Prior to working with Valmont and founding Site Pro 1, Joe founded Site Advantage, a provider of stainless steel hardware products for the communications industry, which was later acquired. She is responsible for developing and executing investor relations and communications strategies, including broadening awareness of Valmont among institutional investors and educating current and prospective investors about the company’s business strategy, performance and outlook. Renee also leads the communication of sustainability and corporate social responsibility efforts, and serves as the company’s liaison for all government, public and media relations. Renee began her career at Valmont in 1995, holding a variety of increasingly responsible financial management roles over a period of 20 years. Following this, Renee was the Director of Corporate Treasury at West Corporation and Vice President of Global Cash Operations at ACI Worldwide.
