Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On February 19, 2021, Helen Thackray, M.D., FAAP, Senior Vice President, Clinical Development and Chief Medical Officer of GlycoMimetics, Inc., or the Company, notified the Board of Directors of the Company that she is resigning from her position as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in order to pursue other business opportunities. Dr. Thackray’s employment with the Company will cease as of March 19, 2021.
Item 7.01Regulation FD Disclosure.
On February 23, 2021, the Company issued a press release announcing Dr. Thackray’s departure from the Company, together with the announcement that Eric J. Feldman, M.D., the Company’s Vice President, Clinical Development, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of the Company. A copy of this press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report.
