Azul Announces August Estimated Capacity
São Paulo, July 6, 2020 – Azul S.A., “Azul” (B3:AZUL4, NYSE:AZUL), announces today that it expects to operate 303 peak daily departures by the end of August, representing approximately 35% of the Company’s pre-crisis total capacity. In addition, the Company will be adding eight domestic destinations to its route network, totaling 80 cities.
“With the gradual lift in restrictions, passenger demand in August is expected to increase 290% compared to April. When we laid out the Azul Recovery Plan during our first quarter earnings call, we had conservatively estimated a 40% recovery in demand by December. Therefore, we are pleased to already be able to offer a network that is 35% of our pre-crisis levels by August,” says Abhi Shah, Azul’s Chief Revenue Officer.
