Affinia Group Intermediate Inactive

The Company has one operating segment which is considered a reportable segment under generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) in the United States (“U.S.”). See Note 3 to the Consolidated Financial Statements, “Segment Information,” for a further discussion on the Company’s business segment.  Prior to the sale of ASA in 2015, ASA was one of the Company’s operating segments. As a result of the sale, all of the results of operations of the former ASA segment have been included as a component of discontinued operations in the Consolidated Statements of Operations for all periods presented. The Filtration segment (“Filtration”) manufactures and distributes filtration products for medium and heavy-duty trucks, light vehicles, equipment in the off-highway market (i.e. residential and non-residential construction, agriculture, mining, and forestry vehicles), and equipment for industrial, and marine applications. See “Filtration Segment” section below for further information on the operating segment. Affinia’s net sales from continuing operations for 2015 were $899 million, all of which were generated by Filtration. The following table provides Affinia’s net sales from continuing operations by geography for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015.
